BSNL Is Going To Launch App Store In West Circles Soon
BSNL, the PSU telecom company of India, is soon going to launch its APP Store commercially starting from west zone circles which include Maharashtra, MP, Chattisgarh & Gujarat states. BSNL was testing the app store internally through soft launch in various circles wherein free apps were available for downloads.
BSNL APP Store has been developed in association with Accenture and it will have around 3400 applications both in free and paid categories belonging to various genres. In todays time the competition in telecom sector is not on tariff but on the VAS and quantity and quality of Apps on offer. Many operators like Aircel, Airtel, Reliance and Vodafone have already launched their app stores. Out of all the apps in BSNL APP store ,80 % of the apps will be in paid category while remaining will be freely downloadable.
