Samsung Galaxy S2 Specs Leak
The folks over at Pocket Now have managed to get their specs of the hotly anticipated successor to the Samsung Galaxy S – the Galaxy S 2 – thanks to Expansys.
Rumors floating around the Internet suggested that the S2 will be powered by a dual-core 1GHz Orion processor.Sadly, the leaked specs suggest that the handset will be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm 8260 Snapdragon processor running at 1.2GHz.

The Galaxy S successor will sport a 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen with a WVGA (800×480) resolution. The leaked specs from Expansys also suggest that the phone will pack a measly 512MB of RAM along with 16GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot.
The back of the handset will sport an 8MP camera with a LED flash, which will be capable of recording videos in full HD (1080p) resolution. Other key features of the phone include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS with A-GPS, DLNA, mini-HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port, a 2MP front facing camera and NFC capabilities.
I will suggest readers to read this piece of news with a pinch of salt. I highly doubt that Samsung will use a Snapdragon processor on Galaxy S2 instead of their in-house Orion processor or the Nvidia Tegra 2 platform. Also, I don’t think Samsung will equip the handset with a paltry 512MB of RAM.
Nevertheless, all these rumors will be killed by Sammy next week when then announce the Galaxy S2.
