Cydia 1.1 Released; Is Faster And Sleeker Than Before!
Cydia, the App Store for all jailbroken iTouch device owners, was recently updated by its owner – Saurik – and his team members.
Cydia 1.1 is faster, sleeker and, consumes less RAM than the previous version. One of the major problems with Cydia was that it does not support multi-tasking. Even the latest version of Cydia does not support multi-tasking, due to some root related issues as explained by Saurik here.
However, the developer has added a “resume where you left-off” feature, as a workaround for the lack of multi-tasking. The new version will also allow users to run and operate Activator, libstatusbar, and SimulatedKeyEvents, when Cydia is running.
The app start-up time and package loading times have also been reduced drastically. Compatibility with older packages has also been improved along with an improved search algorithm and support for more local languages.
