MTNL provides free 2Mbps download speed on Sundays of April-2011
MTNL on completion of its 25 years service to the nation, today announced its attractive broadband offer – “Sunday is Fun Day“. As per the offer, company will provide free 2Mbps download speed on Sundays of April-2011 to all its unlimited plan broadband customers in Mumbai, making their Sundays more speedy on Internet. MTNL provides broadband services under brand name ‘Triband’ and offers attractive broadband unlimited plans. Sunday is Fun Day offer will truly extend benefit to all its unlimited plans customers with download speed less then 2Mbps. Currently, MTNL offers following unlimited plans with download speed starting from 320Kbps to 4Mbps. MTNL is the only ISP who provides broadband unlimited plans without any Fair Usage Capping. It also offers volume based plans with Upload usage completely FREE. We have listed out all unlimited plans where customers will get benefit of 2Mbps download speed under ‘Sunday is Fun Day’ offer.
MTNL also announced its offer of double Upload speed to all its broadband customers in Mumbai. Earlier broadband upload speed was 256Kbps which is now doubled to 512 Kbps. This will enable faster upload and seamless data sharing on Internet.
In a press conference at Mumbai, company also announced their plans to start two Data Centers in Mumbai at Worli and Belapur (Navi Mumbai) areas. The MTNL Data Center project is supported by IIT Bombay, where they will supply and manage indigenous data center equipments. MTNL will also start Next Generation Converged Network and will provide high speed internet bandwidth through fiber.
